Katja Herbers is the child of the violinist Vera Beths and oboist Werner Herbers. When she was a kid Katja Herbers went with her mother on a trip through America as part of the chamber group L'Archibudelli. Her father and mother both were married, and her mother was to cellist Anner bylsma. They introduced her into the world of theater.
